Yummiest horchata ever!!! I soaked 1 cup brown rice, a large handful of raw almonds and two cinnamon sticks in a quart mason jar overnight. Today I discarded the cinnamon sticks and vitamixed the rice mixture, with enough water to almost fill the vitamix, until smooth then passed it through a nut milk bag, much like making rice milk. I added ground cinnamon, powdered vanilla, and just about 4 tablespoons of sugar; I prefer it on the less sweet side. This is so delicious!! #vegan (at My Little Pink House)

Blue Corn Bread. Heat your cast iron skillet in the I’ve while preheating. Add a few tablespoons of oil to the hot pan and pour in cornbread batter. Bake 400* for appox. 40 min. #vegan #castiron (at My Little Pink House)
Blue Corn Bread with fire roasted chiles. Made with blue corn from the reservation. 1cup blue corn meal, 1/3 cup flour, scant teaspoon salt, 1/8 cup raw sugar, 1 1/2 t. baking soda, 1t. baking powder, 1 3/4 cups almond milk with a tablespoon vinegar added, 1/4 cup oil, 2T.
